It’s not a “photoshoot”, really…it’s more of a creative hangout with a friend who really gets you. Whether we work together in the studio or travel somewhere dreamy, the experience will be one that features you in the most comfortable, beautiful, artful, and iconic way. You’ll proudly say “THERE I AM!”, and you’ll find it hard to believe that you could treasure photos of yourself so much.

The emphasis will not be put on exaggerated poses, makeover transformations, or shopping for new things. Showing up as yourself is not only enough…it’s the whole point.‍ ‍

IN THE STUDIO

Studio sessions take place in a comfortable and empowering private space in Milan, Austin, or NYC. Studio session work offerings include relaxed portraiture, fine art nude art, editorial portraits, and boudoir-style photography all in Kara Marie’s signature black and white style.

ALONG YOUR TRAVELS

Travel commissions have become a regular offering…the best possible version of vacation photos available, really.

Spend a day of your travels creating iconic visuals while meandering through a labyrinth in Ireland, having a leisurely boat cruise in Italy, or enjoying wine in France.

The resulting artful documentary-style photos will be truly the best souvenir of the memories made while traveling, and you will have barely noticed the camera at all.

  • "These photos are a testament that anything is possible."

    "There is nothing more powerful than a woman who cannot be defined; who says you can't be both sunshine and cyanide?" These images show both the soft and hard sides of me. I would never in a million years see myself the way Kara's lens captured me and that is why I wanted to do this photo shoot for myself.

    I started a journey nearly 4 years ago to reinvent myself for myself. This shoot with Kara was to solidify the success of that journey and a reminder to keep going. We all have different chapters of our lives where we are built up and torn down, only to come back stronger for it. I am proud of who I have become, I had a hell of time becoming her but she is here to stay. These photos are a testament that anything, for me, is possible.

Catch KM on tour. Pop-up events are curated for abbreviated shoot experiences to accommodate multiple clients in a day or two with a specific theme for each event. These events can be a great opportunity for those who have already had a full shoot experience, those who are on the waitlist for one in the future, or those who feel called by the dedicated theme.
