SCOTTSDALE, AZ 11/8 FINE ART NUDE WORKSHOP
In this full day workshop, we will celebrate and honor the human form as art. After learning how to create a safe space for our sitters and drawing inspiration from a multitude of fine art sources to find your unique style, you will learn how to train the eye to artfully compose figure details and creative crops. Next, photographers split into smaller groups and take turns directing, posing, and capturing our muses in an artful way under my guidance. Then, we’ll throw away all of the technical rules and PLAY to make room for more impactful, unique, and artistic images. Photographers will walk away from this workshop with a finer trained artist’s eye, an elevated level of professionalism and ease with nude photography, a toolkit bursting with ideas to better serve your sitters and your artistic spirit….and of course some incredible portfolio images.
Refreshments and lunch will be included, and the class size will be limited for more personalized learning + connection.

About Kara Marie:
An American photographer based in northern Italy, Kara Marie Trombetta celebrates her 16 year career that encompasses her roles as both a privately-commissioned photographer, and a photography business educator and coach.
Where Trombetta’s art is concerned, she favors impactful black and white images as her medium of choice, using natural light and shadow to honor the human form. Her minimalist, honest, and customer service-centric method of capturing her clients allows each muse to feel exceptionally comfortable and to see the beauty in their authenticity.
With her personal evolution as a catalyst, Kara Marie has come to empower individuals not merely to discover confidence in their skin, but to realize that true confidence is not skin-deep. She regards the absence of clothing on her subjects simply as the removal of distraction, inhibitions, and facades rather than with the objective of creating “sexy” images. When asked about the classification of her work as “boudoir" photography when it appears to have evolved into something more multi-faceted, Trombetta gently explains: “I work to grant my muses the permission to be fully and naturally themselves without layers to hide behind, without the need for a glamorous makeover or extreme retouching, and also without the pressure to act provocatively. We can be sexy, yes. We are also intelligent, introspective, resilient, strong, funny, powerful, and emotional. I work to help my clients discover and celebrate their confidence. Limiting that expression of confidence to merely sexuality is doing a great disservice to the multitude of characteristics that one is comprised of. This is why I am working to redefine boudoir photography from a style that is traditionally intended to be stereotypically sexual for a very narrowly defined demographic, to an evolved narrative that is more of an artistic expression of the human spirit in its most honest natural form. I encourage a dialogue that emphasizes that everyone is a masterpiece.”
As an educator, Kara Marie’s teaching style is approachable for all experience levels and types of photographers. Her photography education has expanded to include coaching entrepreneurs in creativity, customer service, and general life balance. Delivering a multitude of workshops, keynote presentations, and online educational courses throughout her career, she continues her work to embolden her students around the world while nurturing her most artistic chapter yet.

Rave Workshop Reviews
*****
“I was nervous— like, forget how to adjust your ISO in a room full of professional photographers nervous. When Kara saw me fumbling with my camera, she didn’t roll her eyes. She waited patiently, then steadied my hand as I desperately attempted to take a motion blur photo. Though she inhabits the role of educator well, I got the sense that she was also one of us, dashing around the room, deliriously happy to be making art.
In a world filled with workshops that promise the moon and deliver mere stardust, this experience was a rare gem— a day so extraordinary, that it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I can’t thank Kara enough for exceeding every expectation and giving me an experience I’ll always point to as the day I finally saw myself as an artist.”

“Artistically and mind-blowingly impactful. This day filled and overflowed my little photographer’s heart it ways I couldn’t even imagine, and it was my 2nd time doing an in-person workshop with Kara. I’m still on a high from it 2 weeks later. I am now more intentional with being an artist and seeing imperfection as art perfection without the props and fluff. Kara says you won’t need it, she means it, and she teaches it. Her effortless way of giving you permission to peek through your camera and create unique and exquisite forms of art, all centered around your client make her the ideal instructor for anyone looking to take their boudoir or nude photography to the next level. Forever grateful that she shares her wealth of information with those looking to grow in this field. Please don’t sleep on her workshops. I am who I am today because I invested in myself and my education, learning from the best in the industry.”
